Here is a photo I took last weekend in the Mission District, which I uploaded to Flickr using an Eye-Fi card in my Canon Elph pocket digital camera. I was able to create a link to it and upload it to Blogger, using the iPad for finding the Flickr URL and for the upload.

The upload from the camera to Flickr, of course, had to be done on my laptop.

I also discovered that Blogger will not let me upload photos in my photo library on the iPad. I suppose there is a workaround using email to send the photo to Blogger from the iPad, but I wanted to make it work in the iPad version of Safari, so I used the Flickr link.

Using my iPad

It's 26 days since I got my iPad and I've been using it every day. I've been downloading all kinds of iPad apps and I went and bought a Bluetooth keyboard last Saturday. The keyboard has made text entry into the iPad much easier, since it is the same size as a laptop keyboard, with (in my opinion) an ever better look and feel.

I've also experimented with various apps which make it possible to download files from various places onto my iPad, and then read them, work with them, and share them via email. Each app has a somewhat different interface, and the learning curve has been somewhat steep.

Since I already created this fine blog, which was only supposed to last for the first day of my iPad purchase, I have decided that this is a good place to write about what I have learned about the iPad, and in what ways the iPad is more useful than my laptop. Stay tuned.

I created a short slide presentation using the new Keynote app on the iPad. I think blog readers might be able to view it here.
